Hello everyone, I have a compaq M300 notebook with a serial number in the BIOS that is incorrect. Anyone know of a update to the BIOS that allows you to change the serial number back to what is on the case?

Hi there, what you're talking about is hacking the BIOS to a new S/N...
depending on your BIOS manufacturer, there are a few proggies out there that allow you to do this... but if your not exactly sure what you are doing... then hands off...
for AWARD - use MODBIN...
for AMI - use AMIPCB...
