Howdy! I need to update my drivers for my nic on a server that is in production. Can you tell me how short of starting over from scratch?

Thanks in advance!

Well, you have no choice, you are cutting off user access when you update the driver. You can copy the new driver to the SYS:SYSTEM directory, unbind and unload the running driver; then load the new driver and bind needed protocols to it.

You can also use the RESTART SERVER command that will warm boot the NetWare server with out going to DOS.

Manually unloading and reloading the NIC modules would be the fastest way, but if your command line unsure, then RESTART SERVER will be the easiest.

If the load commands are not still in your autoexec.ncf file, you can see them in the SYS:ETC\NETINFO.CFG file.
