Need to start with Cisco

Hi guys, looking for some advice, I want to get started with cisco technology, but I don’t know where to start, what books do you recommend, since training is not an option (to expensive) what are the basics to start? I know about networks an OS since I a have a BSCS (if it helps you in were I stand) and right now, I don’t have access to any equipment,tough i've worked with networks before but only lans with switches but never wans (routers, vlans, etc)and right now I can get a break but I need to get started with cisco

Any suggestion is welcome.
