We are on an NT 4.0 server, connected to a unix server. We are currently running T10. I've been told T100 will greatly increase our speed. I need to know all info about this type of upgrade.

Do you mean your network card is 10BaseT and you want to replace it with a 100BaseT card?

Yes. That is correct. Will this do anything for speed? Maybe this will help. There are times (not always) that we bog down. We input information, lets say a simple item number lookup, hit the enter key to begin the look-up, and it will take 2 minutes to respond. Usually that type of look-up takes 5 - 10 seconds.

kbsci-

Are you running hubs or switches? Are they 10 or 10/100?

I would suggest to make sure your network can handle 10/100 first. No need to upgrade one card if everything else is slow. By default, your new 10/100 card would drop right back to where ya came from (T10).

Hope this helps.
