Hi,

Is there any way that I get the TIMESTAMP to return 3 digit precision of milliseconds instead of 6?

I tried setting the NLS_TIMESTAMP_FORMAT, but didn't work!!!

Please help!!!

Thanks in Advance!!

I got .. the problem was that the column i was trying to reset had a default on it (systimestamp).
Now i am wondering as to why it was not allowing me to alter the column's precision while having a default on it?

Thanks
Engi

Engi,

We can probably answer your question if you post

1) a DESCRIBE of at least your TIMESTAMP column
2) the code your were trying to use to ALTER your TIMESTAMP column.
