Need to Select Each Item Only Once

I am attempting to write a formula that tells Crystal to only print each item number and unit of measure one time but I cant get it to work.
The data source that I am tapping is pulling the same item number for each unit of measure and each vendor so for example if I have 3 vendors for the same item and you can order a box and an each from them then it is giving me the same item number 6 times and I only want it just one time.

Sharing technical information would be helpful.

Rather tha n saying your tapping a datasource, state that you're using ODBC to Oracle or whatever.

Also your software version should include any technical post, it's the first question asked by almost every technical support helpline.

Try Grouping by the item number and placing your fields in the group footer, suppress the details section.

Unfortunately this didn't make sense, try rephrasing "so for example if I have 3 vendors for the same item and you can order a box and an each from them then it is giving me the same item number 6 times" - not sure what order a box and an each means.
