I am capturing information from a pbx unit that sends reports once every hour. What I would like to do is create a script that would start the capture at 6:00 am and close the capture at 6:00pm, then save it to a directory on the network with the file name being the current date.

If you look in the Samples\ASPECT\Capture Scripts directory on your 4.8 CD, there is a script called 24HourCapture.was that you should be able to modify to do this (minus the naming of the file). The ScheduledCapture.was file in the same directory also does a similar task and performs the file naming.

I also have a sample script on my site that creates a filename in the format YYYYMMDD.TXT if the sample scripts mentioned above aren't sufficient.

Hello,

I have a Script that Monitors a Nortel DMS 100 Logging Channel. The Script Activates every Hour and Half Hour if I remember Correctly. All Data is Saved in a Common File on the PC; but could be modified for a Network Drive. Drop me a Line if you would like a Copy.
