I need to be able to route a call directly to voicemail without ringing the telephone. I have CC6 and CP5. I am using Access link and not IVR.

I have recorded a greeting thur ACCESS link in English and one in French. I want the greeting to play in the proper language and then place the caller directly into voicemail so that they do not hear the multiple rings first. The people checking the voicemail are bilingual.

From the CC6 side, scripting is straightforward:

GIVE MULTIPLE BROADCAST ANNOUNCEMENT
PLAY PROMPT VOICE SEGMENT
delay_msg_vm_route_vs

ROUTE CALL voicemailbox_dn_gv

The voicemailbox_dn_gv variable is a phantom DN that routes the call to voice mail. The voice mail system sends the call to the proper mail box based on the phantom DN.

You can use OPEN VOICE SESSION instead of MULTIPLE BROADCAST if you want. MULTPLE BROADCAST can play to several callers at once so is more efficient with Access voice ports.

I'm not sure how you eliminate the ring. The switch and voice mail experts here will have to provide that detail.

I suppose you could always use "GIVE SILENCE" instead of "GIVE RINGBGBACK" if you didn't want the callers to hear ringtone.

Forgive me for being dumb Miles, but I have never seen "give multiple broadcast announcement" before. It's always been give controlled broadcast announcement. Is this a new command for CC6, or am I missing something.

You're not being dumb, I just posted late at night and made a mistake.

I think the ring comes from when the switch routes the call to Call Pilot. Once CCMS executes the ROUTE CALL command, it (CCMS)stops controlling the call.

I am getting very close. We have created a Phantom DN and have night call forwarded it to voicemail. I get about 1 ring. The Option 61 is in Romania so I suspect there are a few unknown difference as we have run into a few. You are correct the handoff is where the ringback is coming from.
