Please bear with me here, I'm a mental pygmy when it comes to computers. That said, I've been tasked to create an automated overtime call up program. I work for a small fire department and we cannot afford expensive canned programs. They are in very bad shape if I'm the smartest one using Access. I purchased and scoured the "Access Bible". No help.

We are still using Access 97.

I have everything done except the most important part.

If a person accepts overtime, I use a check box for "Yes". Or I can use a "Y=". I can't figure out how to cause that record (name) to rotate to the bottom of the list. Then the name must open at the bottom of the list the next time the program is opened. The name must move up the list as others accept overtime.

Example;
Smith is 13th on the list.
Smith excepts overtime, I check them as "yes".
Smith moves to 42nd, last on the list.
The next day, Jones accepts overtime.
Jones moves to 42nd, and Smith now moves to 41st on the list.

I don't even know if Access is able to do this.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

instead of using a check box use a date field called LastOvertimeDate and sort the form by LastOvertimeDate DESC
