Need to restrict outgoing from one key but allow both on another key 3

Hello Folks,

I have a requirement.Sure its a tricky one!!!.

Current Setup:

1.Option 81C Rls 4.5.
2.Have an M3904 Phone with Key 0 as DN 2000 MCR and Key 1 as Dn 3000.
2. DN 2000 and DN 3000 are able to make/receive internal/external calls.

Requirement:

1. For DN 2000....allow it from receiving incoming(internal and external)calls but restrict it from making outgoing(internal and external)calls.

DN 3000 should still be able to receive/make calls as its doing now.

Hi Hari,
Have you considered making DN 2000 as ACDN 2000 then assigning Then assign a key to the phone as:

key 00 acd 2000

The user can receive calls on 2000 but cannot dial out.
The user set would need to log in etc.

This solution is not possible,sorry.

Need to look at any other solution.

Move the 2000 key to another key ie 5 or even on the second page so users do not pick it up accidentally, then move 3000 to key 0. I do not think there is an easy way to program the restrictions you want for 2 lines on the same phone.

Make the key for 2000 a two-way hotline.
I would still do as trvlr1 suggests and put 2000 on some other key than key 0.

Like :
Key 0 scr 3000
Key 1 hot d 4 xxxx 2000 r (xxxx is a dn that goes nowhere, maybe voicemail or an invalid DN)

Your request is not possible, restriction is per TN, not DN

Depending on how many concurrent incoming calls you need to have on 2000; you could make it an analog TN, then cross connect it to a trunk, and make that trunk a Private Line (PVR) on the digital phone. On the TN for 2000, make it CLS MNL + Hot D to nothing.

Now, the digital phone can take calls on 2000, but not place them... not even internal calls.

Could you please share any configuration of this sort, as i am not sure what your mean by CROSS CONNECT IT TO A TRUNK.

So, according to you "Wire the analog TN to a Trunk TN"...

So, that would help hook up one extension.

Unfortunately this set-up requirement is for 170 different extensions.

Do you think thats possible
