Need to reenter Username/Password for every share on NT VPN, Why?

I finally got my VPN to work and found a few difficulties. One, I can't browse the network. Two, this is important, I can connect with //(servername), but I have to reenter my authenication even though I used it to log into the network. Can someone tell me what could be wrong?

Do you have Share level access turned on in the Network Client (ie. Client for Microsoft Networks)?

You will have to re-enter your username and password for each new share if your Windows username and password do not exactly match those for the shared.

Also, browsing is generally not enabled by the sys admin for security and performance reasons. You may need to check with them about that issue.
