We currently have an IPoffice 500 setup and are recording calls with an external voice recorder connected to a mirrored port of the PBX on a Cisco switch sniffing the packets. This setup has worked well but now as most people are not in office we have twinning active and those calls are not recorded. The trunk used is a SIP trunk on the WAN port but is not mirrored directly which may be why the calls are not being recorded. I believe the call path would be SIP trunk to IPO then twinned directly back out of the IPO on the SIP trunk. Is there a way to have this information mirrored on the LAN port for sniffing possibly as an extension ?

If that SIP trunk isn't encrypted (for you to not be able to do exactly what you're trying to do) then you've got bigger issues to worry about.

Use a proper (supported) call recording solution.

Twinned calls are just connected by the system, not processed by the system. (exceptions might be available with proper call recording solutions)

A lot of "proper" recording solutions use packet capture :)

The problem here is that the trunk comes in on the LAN2(WAN) port so that would need to be mirrored as well.

try to use vmpro for recording calls (license required)

@janni78

Yes, but with authentication to the system instead of just deciphering packets you'd have more capabilities.

Actually you get more features with other solutions than the ones using VM Pro recordings.
