Hi
I have a few reports. Each of them have sum of hours at the end of report.
I need to create a report that will print sum from each end of report. they need to be printed horizontally.

Need this urgently.

Thanks

You will not be able to do this from the reports that have been run but you will be able to utilise the data that was used to geberate the reports and produce the values of the calculations of the sum obtained by the reports.
Just build a query that emulates the calculations that are done on the form and then Group the figures to obtain the sums required.

I don't need the sum of all the sum hours. but i need to list the sums on same page.
For instantce
i have a report that sums hours of each employee worked on a system.

i have a report that sums hours of eahc employee worked on specific tests.

...etc.

All the sums from each report need to be displayed in this final(i call it consolidated) report.

I do not need to sum it all up, I just need to list them.

You still need to do the calculations on the new report, unless the report in question is being run as part of the calculating reports then you will need to duplicate what happens on the individual reports so that you can list them as you wish.

I would insert each of these reports as subreports into one new main report. You don't have to link them to anything, they can run independently and appear in one physical report.

Let me know if this helps....

I am sorry I am new to access reports

I am confused about what Frank is saying..

how do i create subreports?

thanks a bunch

You say you already have reports that have a total at the end. If these reports have detail in them also, copy these reports under a new name and make all of the sections invisible except for the section that contains the total (probably the report footer).

Then, in a new blank report, insert these 4 reports as subreports, side-by-side:
Code:
 ------------ ------------
| subreport1 | | subreport2 | etc.....
 ------------ ------------
When this main report is run it will also run the four subreports to gather the four totals...

Let me know if this helps....

Okay I have one that.
One report has all the subreports but
only the value of first subreport(sum) shows up. the rest of them are asking for their parameter values. Why is it asking? it should carry from the subreport.

any idea?

thanks for your help
