I need the ability to view the Outlook PST files on my network. They belong to other users but I have admin rights. Is this possible?

Absolutely. the only restriction is that you can not attach to it while another mail account has it attached and opened.......

So how do I do it? Do I do it from w/n Outlook by opening a new file?

Sorry if the questions seem elementary, but I simply don't know.

within outlook; click on the down arrow next to New- select Outlook data file- select the version of the .pst you want(depends on your version of Outlook)-browse to its location on the network. remember you can not attach to it while another mailbox has it attached.

I am not sure what sniper is saying there. We have hundreds of users using .pst files stored on my servers. I am running 5 .pst's attached to my mailbox alone. I have grabbed others' .pst's over the years, but it is not common practice to "share" a .pst

Help will lay out your version issues you may encounter with my instructions.
