Need to move SQL Server 6.5!!

My root partition (where MS SQL Server 6.5 is currently installed) on NT Server 4.0 is full.  I need to move it to a new partition on a new hard disk just added.  I have no idea how to go about doing this.  If anyone can get me started in the right direction, I would appreciate it.
 
One way to do this is to do a full backup of your sql 6.5 then setup a new sql install on your new partion. After this is setup restore from your backup to your new partion. Which ever way you do it you will have to install a new copy of sql 6.5 on your new partion. So either restore, replicate, or transfer all your data manually to y our new sql server.<br><br>Jom
 
What are the steps I need to take in order to ensure that I have a *full* backup of SQL Server?&nbsp;&nbsp;Also, is it necessary to uninstall SQL Server from the 1st disk before installing it to the new disk?<br>Thanks.
