I am trying to move all rarely used file (ie help) to a RW DVD, can someone tell me where Indesign CS keeps its file path information. Have a PC running XP Pro.

This seems like a question asked before doing something really foolish, especially since you don't recall where you installed InDesign. Why not buy a second hard drive if your main drive is filling up? A second hard drive must be cheaper than that DVD writer.

I second jimoblak, especially since the help file does not take up all that much space, and secondly since moving it would disable the F1 command to access it. For less than $100 you can get gigabytes of storage.

When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.

The system registry does not reference InDesign help files. It appears that the path is relative to the executable.
