Hi guys,
i've got a question... i hope someone could help me, here is the issue :
We have 4 ldap servers behind two cisco CSS engines. These CSS are doing load balancing and failover to these ldap (that are working with real-time replication as you can imagine)... and of course, we need monitoring for downtime. First we have installed patrol agents on all instances, but it give us a call when one instance crash... that is interesting, but not so much for downtime mesurment since when an instance crash, the other are still up and this is transparent for a user...
Then, i imagine to create a script (in perl maybe) to check a read-write access to the ldap (SunOne 5.xSPx) for each instances using it's DNS name. like this... is an instance crash, it doesn't matter... but... i don't have any idea to make a ldap query to an ldap instance with perl...
may soneone help me?
Thanx
