I need some help I was given this super stack II and I'm not sure on how to get it set up. I guess I need a basic 101 I can't locate it when ever I plug it into my small lan.
It powers up but I can't find it. any help out there?

You need to get yourself a serial cable and plug it into the switch. You can then use Hyper terminal to give it an IP address.

Then you should be able to find it...

Hope this helps

Are you looking to just add more users to the lan? Are you trying to just uplink to another hub/switch? If so are you using a cross over or standard cable?

Basically your going to have to create an uplink between the switch and the additional hubs/switches (I'm assuming that this is what your asking about). You can use a cross over cable or use the port that is designed for uplinking (On ours it is port 24 and it has a small pin hole button for toggling the mode from MDI to MDIX).

If you want to actually manage the switch (shouldn't need to if you just doing basic networking stuff) then you'll need to work with it via the serial interface.
