I have been given a Access application to improve. However when I open the DB the application but I have no access to any buttons, tables, forms, reports etc... How do I get access to them.

Hi,
If you cannot get the the background, then hold down the shift key when you open the database. If you can get to the backgroud and you can't open/edit the objects, then you will need the workgroup file and login/password info for the database.

If you forget to hold down the SHIFT key, you may also try pressing the F11 key after you have brought up the Access database to expose the database window. From there you can access the Tables, Queries, Forms, Reports and Modules. If there is no database security implemented on the database, you should have no problem with this option.
