Hi, I just joined the forum. I'm new to dreamweaver (I've read a book on it and that's about it) and I don't know squat about code. I have made a web page for my parents company and I need to teach the secretary to update it. What would the easiest way be? The page is at Thanks for all the help

Hi,

What I think would be the easiest way is to install dreamweaver in the secretary's pc. Pass her all the html pages as well so all she have to do is to open the html page in dreamweaver and edit from there.

If she needs to add new page, just pass her the book and highlight the more important topics like linking pages.

Hope this helps,
Leon If you need additional help, you can email to me at zaoliang@hotmail.com I don't guaranty that I will be able to solve your problems but I will try my best :)

hi silvere

Is the secretary going to be updating the text in the main frame of the site??

if they are you could set up a template with editable regions on the pages so that the rest of the page cannot be eddited.

Read up on this before you do it as it can be a pain.

the settings are in Modify>Templates.

The template will be the main page and the frame at the top should stay the same.

I would go through your site first and check that all of the links work (as I think your frame set needs looking at) and then do a standard template page and appl the template to your pages.
