we have an as400 at our main office, with branch offices connected via perle controllers.

we are thinking about replacing the controllers with a bossanova box, so I was wondering how I could find out how many devices (greenscreens) we have at a particular branch office.

is there a way of identifying how many greenscreens you have at a site?

you can get a printout of all "green screens", that you have configured, on the system.. go hardware, then do 1, then ask for *lws,, this gives you the workstation controller name of the system. Then using that name,, you can use the option 2, print the addresses, this doe not include pc's coming in thru cliennt access.

thanks, thats all we needed, the number of greenscreens.

I used the PRTDEVADR command yesterday to get info, but you have to run it for each controller card in the controller.
