Good pm,
i have two large dbf file and i seek help on how to make it one file using crystal report or designer.
As of now i'm using append command using foxbase then manipulate the appended file using crystal designer.Though its working, my trouble is that the generated report is around 1MB.
The two large files are generated daily by our SWITCH DATABASE on a daily basis, therefore every day i have new set of dbf's. can't it be done using Crystal report only..Oh Bye the way mine is a Crystal report Professional 8.0. My freind's pc is a Developer's edition v8.5

If the filenames are always the same, make sure that you're using ODBC connectivity, and then you can issue a UNION ALL to handle this within Crystal.

Select Database->Show SQL Query

Add at the end of the query:

UNION ALL

Now copy and paste the SQL from above the UNION ALL to below it, and adjust the table name.

Sir Synapsevampire,
Where will I union all the two file? I have two different folders for the dbf file that is changing on a daily basis with the format:
ECGmmdd and MCGmmdd where mm is for the month and dd is for the day.
I tried to use the Crystal report and designer. The closest was on the Crystal report but the show SQL queyr is not highlighted. Hope you could help me out on this one
