This would be my first time installing a remote gateway and I have a remote site that is currently servicing 75 6408 phones on a G650. We need to reduce the Avaya equipment footprint at that site. Will a G450 do the trick? Is there anything particular besides purchasing the G450 and configuring it in ASA to a CM 6.3?

You have to program the G450 since it's a "smart" gateway and runs it's own router type of OS. Read up on the manual for it, the programming isn't too difficult to set up and the wizard that starts up when you log into the CLI for the first time would get you going.

Smokin what do you mean exactly by "fit"?

You'll need to buy 4x mm717 cards to support those phones since the g450 doesn't take the old TN style cards.

Code:
GW TN Circuit Pack Latest Last
MM/TN Gateway / Media Module Hardware Firmware Update Date
----- ------------------------- --------- -------- -----------
MM312 - DCP MM312 DCP 24 pt All FW015 - 07/15/13
MM712 - DCP MM712 DCP 8 pt All FW015 - 07/15/13

Got a few more questions..
For analog ports a G450 needs a MM711 analog media module correct?
For a DS-1 circuit a G450 needs a MM710 card?
G450 has 8 slots for digital or analog cards? V1 to V8 slots.
Can I use the existing station licenses on the CM for creating stations and T1 trunks on the new G450?

All of that is correct with some variations:
MM711 provides 8 universal analog ports meaning you can also connect POTS lines to it among other things. RJ connections.
MM714 provides 4 analog trunk and 4 analog station ports. RJ connections.
MM716 provides 24 analog stations. Amphenol connector.

MM710 is for DS1 as you stated. It has a built in CSU.

There are 8 slots for the cards you want to use. There is also a virtual slot 9 which acts as an announcement board similar to VAL board.

No special licenses are needed for creating stations/trunks on a G450.
