I recently installed Solaris 8 on a machine and noticed that there are no files in the /usr/ccs/bin directory. There is a /usr/ccs/lib directory with like 14 files in it. Did I miss something during install? I don't remember if it asked me for the second CD. It is a diskless netra T1 so maybe I never installed anything from the second CD. Any suggestions?

Try also looking in [tt]/usr/share/lib[/tt] and [tt]/usr/xpg4/bin[/tt].

It could also be that it's not part of the install of a diskless client. I'm not that familiar with diskless setups.

Hope this helps.

You are correct, I did a reinstall of the OS and selected one of the more complete OS installs. One for the developer. The first time, I only selected the (oh I forget the name of it) end user system OS install.

Thank you.
