Hi Everyone,

I got a new task which is to import GL data from Accpac plus into Accpac 54A, I have never done this kind of job before, so have no idea how to do it in a quickly way because there is a deadline for me which is this Saturday.

There are two choices for me (1) Convert Accpac Plus and retrieve the data (don't know how). (2)Find a ODBC driver to connect the Accpac plus data files and work on database side.

Anybody has any idea? which way is quicker? and do you know any ODBC driver which can connect to Accpac plus data files?

Appreciate your great help in advance!

Retrieving GL batches is built into the system. Go to G/L - Accpac Plus utilities.

General Ledger, Accpac Plus Utilities, Accpac Plus G/L Conversion...
Easy as pie.

Thanks tuba2007 and ettienne for your quick response!!!

Yes, I saw that tool, just have no idea how to use it.

(1) Do I need to do anything on Accpac Plus side like prepare the data to be ready for conversion? or just copy the data file over and retreive it with Accpac Plus utilities?

(2) I don't want to import the data into any of my ACCPAC companies, so I have to create a new company and do the conversion, correct?

Thanks again!

1. No. There is no copying, it just pulls it in.
2. Huh? You don't want to import? That's the whole point. It's not a conversion.

NewCCTech -

If you're not pulling in the batches to an existing company, then Ettienne is correct.

I must say this is a bit confusing, not sure what the OP really wants.

Sorry for confusing you all!

What I have to do is to get a GL report (all GL Batches)from a company which is using ACCPAC Plus.

So any suggestions?

Thanks!
