Hi,

As the BOE administrator, I need to know the overall schedule of reports on the production server. Is there a way of finding this out without having to ask the various application administrators who I have given permission to install and schedule reports?

I would like to get summary information. That is, how many reports are scheduled, when are they scheduled, summary information by folder, etc. For example, I would like to know what reports are scheduled every day at 4 am and whether they recur daily, monthly, etc.

Is there an existing Auditing report from BOE? If not, can the Auditing universe or the Query Builder be used to get this info? Or are there some third party vendors who have this report?

Thanks, Rivdog.

If you are using XI (you didn't mention which version you are using) there is a tool called Instance Manager on the Administration Launchpad screen. This free tool will give you some of the information you want.

Alternatively you could use the Query Builder to query the system database. It is launched from the same place as above and uses the query language found in BOE SDK help doco in the com_docs.zip file on the release media.

Using this tool you can obtain all of the information you have indicated in your post regarding scheduled instances.

Groggle,
Yes, we're on XI rel 2 (SP 2). I know about Instance Manager which is helpful. I opened a case with Business Objects and the tech suggested using the Auditing database. I don't think he understood my question. I let him know I wasn't interested in history but in the schedule, ie the recurrence of a report. He's still working on the case. I've yet to hear back from him.
Thanks. I'll look into Query Builder. The info on where to find the documentation is very helpful. I didn't know where to start looking.
Regards, Rivdog
