Below is an example of the results I get from a report I made in CR7:

000537
Moved Out Of QUA 1/30/01
Moved Into QUA 2/16/01
Moved Out Of QUA 2/20/01
Moved Into NOVA 2/20/01
Moved Out Of NOVA 4/11/01
Moved Into QUA 4/11/01
Moved Out Of QUA 5/3/01

This report is group my item number (000537) with the fields "transtype", "Location", and "TransDate" in that order.

My question is how can I filter this report to only show the files that have the locations QUA and NOVA on the same dates. For instance this exapmle should show 4 results (2 on the dates of 2/20 and 4/11). Thanks

You could link the table to itself.
For example, create a report, add this table, filter it to show only Location QUA. Set the database alias for this table to QUA, for convenience.
Add another table to the report, actually adding the same table, setting the alias to NOVA for convenience, linking the two tables on the date field, and filter this second copy of the table to show only location NOVA.
Your report would then return two rows of data for the sample above - if you needed this to appear in 4 rows, you could just use two different sections in your detail.

I cant link by date.. It says "Not an index file".. How do I make it indexed. As you can see, I am a Newbie.
