This maybe be something stupid but since going to Access 2000 to 2007, when a user tried to edit a field on a form, they need to double-click in the field or click once and press f2 to edit. If they only click once, then key in something, it overwrites entire field's data. It acts as if the whole field is selected even though it doesn't show as highlighted. I think I have seen this in Excel but in Access 2000, we never had to do this. Not a major deal but users are so use to just clicking for last 10 years so just want to see if there is a way around this?

Thanks, Joe

Just to update, found that this was being caused because we had an On Dirty Form Event that was updating a field to =Now() just to track when it was last updated. I moved this to Before Update Event and works fine. I guess something changed between 2000 and 2007 Access. Anyway, hope it helps.

Joe
