I have a string that needs to display a " to stand for inch. My code follows and I get an error when to use this code.

=" We propose to furnish materials and perform all labor for the construction of a " & [intWellSize] & """ " water well."

you are saying to use 3 sets of quotes. I tried that and it doesn't work.

I am not sure I am not on my computer so don't have an access database to play with but when wanting to use a doublpe quote as a literal don't you enclose that in a single quote?

Cretin

= " We propose to furnish materials and perform all labor for the construction of a " & [intWellSize] & """" & " water well."

This should work....

it is 4 consecutive "'s

also in your original statement you missed a & sign after the quotes you tried :)

Dang lol... four consecutive double quotes lol... always looks funky when your trying to explain it lol

If this does not work, try & Chr(34) instead (code for double quote), or two consecutive single quotes.
