Does anyone know how to disable the backspace key from acting like a back button in Internet Explorer (especially if you have used the kiosk version)?

It probably would have to be done with a reg hack...actually this works in Windoze Explorer, too.
You don't like it because when you're typing and hit backspace it happens?

I can't have it because we are running an unattended kiosk with a website on IE and people can hit backspace to get to pages other people viewed even after they log out and see personal data incuding credit card information. I'm a dba I have no idea how to do this, so can anyone give me some code?

You will also have to alter the Alt/Left Space and shift (forget the combo there)
Here's a tidbit I found in a discussion of the 1st two doing it with javea in IE and Netscape...dunno' if it'll work.
I could have just copied it here, but didn't wanta' change the code somehow...

I got many other hits with groups.google.com searching with your question...including using VBA...try it
Let us know...
