We are getting rid of the Tivoli server that our Oracle 10G DB server was using for backups. The intention is to backup the Oracle server using VM (at the image level). Thus, I want to disable all Oracle backup. I haven't worked with Oracle very much at all so I'm wondering how to go about this. Do I just need to disable archive logging or is there more I should do? Thanks!!

What backup method/technique is being used?
Does your org have an Oracle DBA, if so, what is their advice? ( If not, why not?)
