I am on a Windows 2000 Network and want to be able to deploy virus updates daily using Win2K Group Policy. The problem is that in order to deploy updates they must have an extension of .msi. When you download virus updates from Norton they are .exe files. How can I change them to .msi so that I can deploy them within my network. I tried WinINSTALL LE but it seems more difficult then it should be. If anyone knows how to accomplish this please reply. Acquisitive - 1. Characterized by a strong desire to gain and possess. 2. Are you just using Norton Anti Virus desktop or Norton Corporate? If you are using desktop and have a number of PCs, consider Corporate - it does things a lot better including automatic updating of clients and centralised quarantine.

To send .exes around, use a login script not policies.
