Hi...we are the in the middle of migration from GW 5.5 to Exchange 2000. Over the weekend we had a problem where a exchange rule created a loop & as a result we have about 4 Groupwise mailboxs with about 100,000 emails in which are proving impossible to delete. Is there any way to remove them all at once??

Run a GWCheck on the mailboxes in question and limit the mailbox to 500 messages.

You can download the most recent version of GWCheck from

but wouldn't that mean I them in batches of 500??

No, that means you would delete everything except the newest 500 messages.

The GWCheck goes through the user database and deletes all the pointers to the messages (except the most recent 500). Once the pointers are deleted in the user database, the mail system will delete any related messages in the message databases.
