Need to create 3D objects out of 2D Pictures

I read somewhere that you can create a 3D object out of a 2 dimensional image. Basically I have a number of pictures that are supposed to be covers for a VHS video. I have been toying around with the pictures using Photoshop 6. I can't quite qet it to work. Basically I need to turn these pictures into video cassetes to go on a products page. Does anyone have an idea of how to go about doing this?

you need to bring the images into a 3d program and do it in there or you could just fake it PS or Illustrator put the would be extremly difficult and time consuming.

Can't you do a simple transformation in PS to skew the images into perspective? Are these videos in a case or are you trying to illustrate labels on the cassette? Try using a photo of another video and slapping a skewed image of your new video on top.
