Hi,
Since I'm also in the webmaster team of my school, I can convince them maybe to run apache.
We have a very limited webspace on our ISP's server(10MB)
We had problems with the bandwitdh quota, however since we have a proxy we only used 41% of our quota in 30 days.
Port 80 is blocked but that's not a problem since it will work (hopefully) on a port like 45700 or something
The idea is to install it on the same server as the proxy server(main server)it also has IIS installed on port 8080(locally) I heard.
The managment might not like the idea, but they won't be there at the meeting next tuesday. Then it will be discussed. It would be nice that it will be avaible on the www, but it will be most likely an intranet server(because of the quota perhaps)and it will contain a copy of our site that is also on the webspace(well I can get more webspace)
Since we want to add some dynamic content (User-Oriënted Information) I can convice them that it do save bandwitdh.
