I have an Access 2003 report with 4 columns. I am going down and then across. I want to put some text in the report footer so that it shows up after the last detail entry but at the bottom of that column. However, it is showing up on the next page even though there are still blank columns on the previous page. How can I control where the report footer shows up?

Thanks for any help,

Dawn

Without knowing what the report looks like, I can think of a couple things: First, make sure that the detail section is small enough to NOT trigger a page break; Second, make sure that the ForceNewPage & NewRowOrCol properties are set to "none" for the report footer. This MIGHT help (hope so....) - good luck!

Hi there, thanks for the reply. Yes both of those are set as you mentioned. I ended up having to do a silly workaround. I created a new text field in the table but put no data in the field. In the report, I grouped by this field (so everyone was in the same group and the report looked the same) but in the group footer I put what I was trying to get in the report footer. It worked. :)
