Need to connect to an AS/400 with CR XI

I have a project in which I'll be building reports on an AS/400. I've never worked with this before and in reading much of what's out there right now, it looks like it's very difficult to connect and you need all kinds of special drivers and client access tools and whatnot. Has anyone used CR XI with an AS/400 that can give me some pointers to ensure a successful connection?? I'm proficient in creating reports but it's setting up the DSN that I have trouble with and no one on my client's staff has this knowledge. HELP!!!

Brian, I've already read this. What I was hoping for was some advice from someone who had done this specifically with CR XI. You're right, it probably WILL work just fine, but I hate assuming you know?
