Windows 2000 Domain using Active Directory.

All Win2kpro workstations.

Local Administrator accounts have the same password so IT staff can all have access to all PCs.

Domain Admin password is different than Local admin password.

I know I can use Active Directory to right click on any machine in the domain and choose "Manage" to get to the user accounts and change the local Administrator account password from there.

I would like to automate this process and change them all at one time.

Any suggestions would be greatly accepted.

Group Policy isn't how I want to solve this issue. Even so I don't see how I can change the local admin password that way. I looked at the site you (bgauntt) suggested and didn't see anything I could use. It may be there but I didn't see anything.

Thanks.

Tekmazter,
Have you tried this with success?

Wouldn't the Administrator still have to log on to do this?

The article says; "Non-administrators receive a "System error 5 has occurred. Access is denied" error message when they attempt to change the password. "

Again, have you done this ok?

Thanks
