I need to move a Solaris 8 system from one LAN to another and I need to know if there is any way to change the network configuration without running sys-unconfig.
I know how to change the IP address and submask but I'm not sure how I could change the gateway,DNS(on Solaris 8 there is no /etc/resolv.conf)
I apreciate any answer. Thanks!

Hi....
In order to make N/W changes ,edit the files /etc/hosts for new IP address,/etc/netmasks and /etc/defaultrouter for default router/gateway entry and then reboot the system.
However to make changes in DNS conf u have to edit /etc/resolv.conf file.....
If domainname is also changing then edit the file /etc/defaultdomain ...
I hope this helps......
