We have the AA Table GRTG greeting set to 1. The "night" attendant is left on. Everything works unless the caller tries to leave a message for the front desk. Then the old message kicks in. How do I find it and chng / del it??? I had to disable bi-lingual because spanish and italian kept kicking in...

Thanks,
David Larew

You need to determine where that message is. If you are going to a phone when you hear the "old message," then it sounds like you need to change the personal greeting of the phone at the front desk.

FYI- no need to post you question in 2 threads

affirmative- good of Senks to point that out, as it may be the reason you cant find it. The gen deliv may be numbered 10, 100, or 1000, whereas all your other mailboxes probably correspond to the extension number of their respective phone

1. Sorry, for double posting.
2. I tried 10, 100, 1000 is it possible they added one? Anyway to look it up?
3. The Front, Desk (first name lookup) says ext. unavailable.
4. I routed the receptionist to a newly opened office for her mailbox...
5. She is re-recording the greeting to route the caller to that ext / mailbox.
6. Normally the callers can leave messages at 3780 but now the old AA Greeting is taking over. It's the owner's wife not an internal message??? Could it be an old CCR or Table GRTG? I can't find it.
7. Thanks again for any and all help.
David

yes it could be an old AA or CCR.
The VM's will play the greeting first, then either a customized AA (or table recording,) or go into the CCR. So you may have an old one of these playing after greeting 1.

-What type of voice mail is it?
-Can you tell from listening if it is part of a greeting or a mailbox recording?
-Do you have a CCR enabled for table 1?

If it were the mbx for the recep phone, you should be able to just login under feat981 from the phone, then change the greeting.

I just tried f981 "Front Desk, extension 3780"
My guess is that it's a CCR or GLIST because I've listened to the AA Table GRTG greetings. I'll keep trying. Is there any, "Hear all greetings command?" Thanks again.

there is no hear all greetings.

If CCR X is enabled for table 1, then disable it if you think you are not using it.

Also set "use cutom AA prompts" to "NO

I checked the CCR Tree = Disabled
AA Menu Prompt = Y

f982 Operator = Yes
Atdt avail= y
Bus open = y
Answer lines = y
Atdt = 3780
Exit
but I can't
find the message associated with it?

I changed AA Menu Prompt to NO
Then I called 3780 and the old message under
"Recep" was played... is Recep a preset?
I can't find it in my directory?

Sorry, if these are stupid questions.
David

are you saying when you dial 3780 you hear the "old message" that you want to get rid of? Where are you gettting this term "recep

I pick up the handset in my office 3787.
I dial 3780 and the display says,
"Calling Recept" and below it "Later"
I'm not sure how to find Recept to change
it's message??? Thanks for any help.

Recept is short for receptionist which someone labled that extension as.
That is just a name on the phone system side, you have to change the greeting on the voice mail side. That extension was probably assigned the general delivery mailbox which you don't seem to have the mailbox number.
Good Luck
Gabriel
