want i want to do is this..two boxes..one on the right have about 10 links to swfs that will house soundtracs only..when a link is clicked it shows up on the left in a playlist box, i want it to load the movie when it transfers over but not play it until the play button is clicked..and say if they want to have all ten songs added to the playlist..let's make them all play one after the other with the load movie command at the end of each previously loaded movie..ok simple enough..but the only problem is how will we know in what order they select the tracs and add them to the playlist?.

any ideas on how to build a quality playlist guys?.

old i plan on working off what we have already built..but need to take it a few steps farther..spice it up a little..

Somehow I just new it couldn't but stay simple!
Spice it up hey?
Like beat WMP and RP at the same time?
Shessssssssssssssssh!

On a tight schedule until tomorrow night... Will have more time to think about it from Thursday on, if nobody else comes up with something!

WMP -> Windows Media Player... Has a play list!
RP -> Real Player... Has a play list!

... Beat them both... Like do something better than what they already have going!

BTW, those links on the right? Links updatable from a text file or what?
Should the 10 selections (guess by the time this gets finished, it'll have gone up to 30 or more!) be scrollable, if they don't all fit in that play list box?

You can do it with the array command.
When the user is selecting the songs
just update an array with the numbers he
clicks. for example [2,6,8,10]
Then have an array which will give the
instance names of the soundtrackMCs.
[song1,song2,song3,...]
according to the numbers you are collecting
from the user the songs will be played from the
songs array.
i.e., the numbers will be collected from the
first array one by one and used as the index information
of second array.
i.e, songs[0]=song1.
Even you can connect a data base and have millions of
songs and make it as an online juke box.

all the best.,
Shan.

an example of the array Shan?.
