Need to block certain 800 and 900 numbers

I have an 81c at the hospital I work with. We recently caught a few users call porno numbers. Can someone be kind enough to explain to me how to block certain phone numbers?

YOU WOULD DENY THOSE NUMBERS UNDER THE AREA CODES, FIRST YOU SHOULD EVEN HAVE 900 IN THERE AS AN AREA CODE. IF YOU NEED TO DIAL CERTAIN 900 NUMBERS IT'S ALRIGHT, BUT YOU WOULD ONLY ALLOW THOSE CERTAIN NUMBERS.

Sorry, I couldn't resist a little Surpreme Court like humor.

To block calls to 19005555555 find where 1900 is built in NARS/BARS - LD 90. If routing by 1900 as an SPN or NPA you can out 1900 altogethter and block all 1900 calls or:

REG: chg
CUST: 0
TYPE: net
TRAN: ac1 (or 2)
TYPE: npa (or SPN)
NPA: 1900
RLI: "return"
SDRR: deny
DENY: 5555555 (or just 555 to block all calls to 1900555xxxx)
DENY: enter additional numbers or "return"
"return until NPA appears and test.

The same programming works for blocking 976 calls to any given area code.

Good point on using Alow instead of Deny. Works better if you have only a few known 1900 numbers that should be dialable.

never programed a 900 or a 976, just leave them out of load 90 (or out them) and you don't need allow

976 NXX are also in NPA's so you need to deny them in the NPA or they can dial them.

ie: 1212-976-2626

i've heard that, but haven't met one. 900 is bolcked by our ld carrier but i don't have it in ld 90. not sure about 976. i do know 1800 hot.. 1800 468, is blocked because all of those (it seems) are porn, credit card usually lines. i have been warned that some of those redirect to a 1900, which was defined as called party rate lines... ie 4.95 a minute, or what ever the other end decides.. i had a customer years back that was hit hard 20K by 900 when they first came out.. they had spn bars, all 1st digits allowed as a spn, sorta fast and dirty
