I am very new to phone systems. We recently added some extension to our Magix system. I figured out how to number the new extensions and created mailboxes for the extensions. But I am missing a step or two somewhere. I cannot transfer directly into the new voicemail boxes, nor does the voicemail cover the extension after 5 rings (or any number of rings).

I believe this is an easy fix, but I have no manual for this system and cannot find reference to this problem.

Please help.

You need to add those new extentions to your voicemail coverage group (usually Cover Group 30). To check: press menu, system programming, start, extentions, more, Group Cover, 30, now press the inspect key. If this is the correct Group Cover number you will see all of the extention numbers listed that get voicemail coverage. If it is correct group, press back, group cover, 30, and enter each new extention number (pressing enter after each one) - lastly press inspect again - and make sure they are now in the group of extentions getting voicemail coverage. Then exit out of programming by pressing home or exit.
