New to Acrobat.
I am trying to add header or footer to PDF's files. Can I do this, if so which apps do I need to use.
Thank you.

You can create headers in most word processing programs and export them to Acrobat through the distiller. Any dynamic elements (page numbering etc.) become static in Acrobat.

If you are trying to create the header/footer from within Acrobat I have no idea. Mahalo,

Depends on what you want to put into the header/footer. It IS possible to add the same header/footer to each page of the PDF during its creation (as a 'watermark') but you cannot do it once the PDF has been created.

Thank you for the reply.
The problem is that they are already pdf's files. Is there a way with another software to read them or to export them.
Please advice.
Thank you.

If you have the full Acrobat I am sure you can add text fields to an existing PDF. Each page would have to be done separately, but it IS possible.

Yes I do have the full version of Acrobat. However How can I add header and footer for the page.
I tried their help but still kind of confused.
Please advice.Thank you.

appligent.com has some tools that you could use or you could download the sdk from adobe if you are trying to automate this process via a programming language. If you are only needing this for a couple of file you may be able (if you have the full version of acrobat) to create a macro that accomplishes what you want.

Good Luck

This PDF file/template uses JavaScript to stamp a page number on each page of a PDF file. You can tweak the template to stamp whatever you want. There are some better commercial PDF stampers out there but this is free, which is good enough for me.

The full Acrobat program is required to use this (v4 or v5).
