need system recommendation

I am familiar with the nortel mics system, but one of my friends is opening a new office for her mortgage comapny. She will have between 5-12 ext with probqbly 4 inbound lines. Definatly needs voicemail, Autp attendant not so important, but would be used.

A. what would be the idea nortel system for this situation. Would probably want to buy a used one.

B. Is there another brand that might be more suited. Price is definatly a major concern. Usablity for non technical people also high priority, but if its a nortel I can probably teach them enough to get by.

A Nortel Norstar CICS 8x16 With Norstar Flash voicemail. The flash voicemail wiill give you 2 ports with 24 mailboxes. The 8x16 will give you 8 lines to use for inbound and outbound calling and 16 telephones.

Inter-Tel Axxess is more flexible than the CICS/MICS, and comes in dealer packages that are, like $3150 for the system, VM, and 8 phones. Thats dealer cost, though.

One thing you have to realize when it come to telecom buying system from company like mom and pop and what support you will get and how long they have been in business
And how long they can stay in business one thing about Nortel there stock may be down but this company is not going any were and support that you have and people that know Norstar are easy to find how easy can you find some one that knows mom and pop phone system like TEL AXXESS

they bought a 6X16 ksu with a startalk and a rad off ebay. thanks for all the input. I hope the thing works. Its supposedly a working system pull from a company relocation being sold by the company owner, we will see. Anyone want to do a system install in fishers, IN.
