I'm looking to purchase a good overall book on Oracle which hits on creating and modifying tables, forms, reports, and PL/SQL. I'm hoping that this book will also have a CD-ROM (for installation of a version of Oracle) for exercises on a personal computer. Maybe an idea on a separate book and software which blends well together. I should also mention that installation would be on a Windows NT platform. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

For starters, you might try the ORACLE8i for Windows NT Starter Kit from Oracle Press ($49.99 suggested retail). It contains a lot of information on how to throw a saddle on Oracle as well as including the 8i Enterprise Edition CD.

If that doesn't have enough information in it for you, you might try Oracle Press' Oracle8:The Complete Reference. While it has a silly title (If this was the "Complete" reference, there would be no need for all of those other books from Oracle Press!), it does cover a lot of territory.
