Need subreports to expand to next page 1

I have five subreports in one report. Each one of them may have more information than originally intended. How do I get each section to expand to accommodate the information while pushing the other subreports down the page to include going to page two of the report or page three if necessary?

Have you set Can Grow to Yes?

This is Access 2007. There isn't a "Can Grow". There is an Auto Resize, and I have set that to yes. No luck.

I see, I have to set it in code. It doesn't have it in the properties section anymore. I will try coding it. I am not sure where as I have only coded forms, not reports.

From the small amount of reading I have done, it appears that controls (textboxes etc) have a CanGrow property that can be set and that will be applied to the section in which the control resides.

Does that mean that I cannot make a detail section grow?

I don't think so, it was a suggestion for avoiding coding. As I said, I do not have a copy of 2007. I do not think it should be necessary to code. If you get stuck, it may be as well to post again including 2007 in the title.

I have access 2007 and the subreports do have a can grow under the properties windows the "All" tab

Make sure you are not calling the subreport properties.


If you click on the subreport and the property window "Selection type" says 'Report' then you are looking at the properties inside the subreport. If the "Selection type" says "Subreport-xxxxx" then you are looking at the properties of the control for the subreport. (Which is what you want)

I right-clicked on the master report (where no controls were) and then went to properties and then selected the "subreport-case1" (for my report control) under "Selection type" this allows you to use the can grow property.
