hello? I'm new to programming, but I would like to
know if it is possible to write a function prototype in
C++ and have it run in another program writen in VB.
How would I do this?????????????????

Yes and no!
if you write a dll you can call functions from your library. sounds like you need to check out something like Dan Appleman's Visual Basic 6 Programmers guide to win32's

that will tell you all you need to know

yes he has a site it's this is a commercial site like the want to sell you products and stuff but there is some information to glen
