Hi...

Can someone help me at implementing savepnpc command.
First of all I would like to know if file "groupname.res" in /nsr/res directory
must be at client or server site.
I have successfully run savepnpc at command prompt. It works fine.
Now I would like to schedule it.
I created a new group with one client (with only one saveset c:\ora8).
If I run that group it completes ok. Now I would like to shutdown and then startup Oracle database
during backup. What must I do. Don't know where to write savepnpc command. Is this
at "remote" tab in NW administrator edit client window.

I use NW server at SuSE platform (configuring throw linux or windows),
backup machines are Oracle database on True64 and SQL server at WinNT 4.0.

lp, Mitja

Thankx in advance.

For the client resource, you just state "savepnpc" for
the backup command. Then start the backup.

The file groupname.res is created at the client (where the
scripts need to be executed). The first time you run the
backup, this file is created.

Now go ahead and edit it as requested. Substitute the
placeholder commands with the scripts of your choice for
the appropriate section.

Then do a second backup and your scripts shall be executed.

You can find more infos and examples in the Administrator's Guide.

Another tip, be sure to have no blnk in your groupname where your client is in.
