I have been tasked with doing a full network analysis. Part of the analysis is to determine network utilization, evaluate available bandwidth for QOS and VOIP on the network.

I have defined all of the network segments and the network is all Cisco 29xx and 35xx switches with Cisco 26xx routers connecting the segments.

What do ya'll recommend using to fulfill the above requirement in evaluating the network? Software? Protocol? Advice?

Thanks.

They should all be SNMP compliant.

Look into MRTG.

Can you configure MRTG to give you more data than just the average over a period of time? What information do I want? Burst traffic? Peak? Can MRTG give all that information?
